Description
Camp MusArt is seeking a playful, energetic Piano and Music Teacher to lead creative group classes for children ages 5–12 at our arts camp in Apex, NC.This is not a traditional private-lesson or theory-focused position. Our campers rotate through hands-on creative classes, and we want music to be active, welcoming, and fun. Lessons may include beginner piano, recognizable songs, rhythm games, singing, movement, improvisation, musical challenges, and simple performances or recordings.
The ideal candidate knows how to connect with elementary-age children, confidently manage a group, and adjust activities when attention begins to fade. Advanced performance credentials are welcome but not required. Creativity, reliability, classroom-management skills, and genuine enthusiasm for working with children are more important to us than an advanced degree.
Experience with ukulele, singing, percussion, songwriting, movement, theater, dance, games, or other camp-friendly subjects is a plus.
This is a part-time, in-person position with weekday, year-round, and Wake County track-out opportunities. Starting pay is $18 per hour, based on experience.
