Who We Are

NCMEA’s mission is to advance music education by promoting the understanding and making of music by all. Since our founding in 1970, it has been our intention to provide valuable information and resources for teachers, students and communities throughout North Carolina. We encourage you to explore this website to discover our many offerings, such as student performance opportunities, professional development, advocacy for quality music education and more.
