NAMM Honors NC Schools As Best Communities For Music Education

Raleigh, NC – The NCMEA would like to congratulate the North Carolina schools that have been honored by the National Association of Music Merchants for their 2018 Best Communities for Music Education program. The BCME program presented by The NAMM Foundation recognizes the outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of their curriculum. 

In the district category, Guilford County Schools was recognized as a 2018 Best Community for Music Education.

Four high schools and one middle school were also recognized by the NAMM Foundation for the 2018 SupportMusic Merit Award: 

  • Bailey Middle School (Cornelius, NC)
  • Cuthbertson High School (Waxhaw, NC)
  • Eastern Wayne High School (Goldsboro, NC)
  • Northwood High School (Pittsboro, NC)
  • TC Roberson High School (Asheville, NC)
