There are two important All-State deadlines: September 15th & March 1st. Please click on the Documents and Resources on the right for detailed information about forms and deadlines.
All-State Chorus will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum on April 20-21, 2018. All State choirs are allotted by the number of schools registered and paid by the September 15th deadline. Allotments are based on your fall semester choral enrollment and will be emailed to the choral teacher by the November NCMEA Conference.
There will be one 6th grade choir, one 7/8 Treble choir, and one 7/8 Mixed choir. Each choir will not exceed 200 students.
Teachers planning to participate in All State Chorus should book hotel rooms for themselves and their students/parents early in order to ensure availability and reasonable prices. Teachers are responsible for room accommodations, not the event coordinator. Hotel information can be found in the Documents and Resources page.
Please read over the Governing Documents for eligibility and read over all documentation before sending by required deadlines. Eligibility requirements for student events in the elementary, middle, and high school grade level are set by each NCMEA member section (Band, Choral, Jazz, and Orchestra). NCMEA supports each member section’s autonomy when setting criteria for participation in student events. Please refer to each section’s webpage for additional information.
If you have any questions please email Angel Rudd at firstname.lastname@example.org.
