HIRING SALARY RANGE: $42,476 - $44,175

The position will play a critical role in providing high-quality AV experiences to ensure the success of our events, collaborating closely with Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, Special Events, Theatrical Productions, and other units and partners to understand needs and provide technical solutions to meet their objectives.

Duties:

  • AV Support for NCSSM-Morganton Operations and Events -- Including Theatrical Productions

  • Coordinate AV operations and events in the Barn, Library, Boardroom, and other indoor and outdoor event spaces.

  • Provide high-quality AV experiences for key stakeholders to ensure the success of our events.

  • Collaborate closely with Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, Special Events, Campus Safety, and other units and partners to understand needs and provide technical solutions to meet their objectives.

  • Certify AV equipment inventory before and after each event.

  • Advise campus and ITS leadership in the selection, use, design, and maintenance of audio visual equipment for the NCSSM-Morganton campus.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of AV equipment and solutions, including live streaming, Zoom Meetings and Webinars, and specialized AV requirements for events of all types.

Knowledge of AV technology, equipment, and software.

Knowledge, skills, and ability required to set up and test AV equipment before events.

Knowledge, skills, and ability required to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during events.

Ability to monitor cameras for live events.

Ability to run audio boards for live events.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages, enhances, and demonstrates teamwork and professionalism.

Model and follow safety procedures and compliance with campus and institutional policies, procedures, and regulations.

Ability to climb ladders or elevated platforms and lift 50 lbs without assistance.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in audiovisual equipment operation and maintenance, graphic design, and/or photography; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
