SUMMARY:SoundForge 2025 Application Deadline
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to present NCMEA’s SoundForge: A Popular Music Collective Event in 2025! \nAll music educators\, including PK-12 and music education students enrolled in a music education program interested in experiencing and watching the process of students writing songs and collaborating with guest artists\, are invited to attend SoundForge at Catawba College on Saturday\, February 1st. A certificate of completion will be provided for attendees who would like professional development credits.  \nAll applicants must fill out the information below to be considered for the event. Applying for the event does not guarantee you will be invited to participate. Space is limited. \nPlease note: This is a one day event with a concert at the end of the day. Teachers are responsible for travel to and from the event\, including lodging (if needed). Lunch will be provided the day of the event. Equipment (Amps\, microphones\, drum sets\, and keyboards) will be provided. \nTeachers are limited to 2 groups for the event. Please submit a new form for any additional ensemble you are applying. Pepper’s 150th Anniversary Scholarship Program\nApplications close January 31\, 2025\nOne recipient will be chosen from each state\, Washington D.C.\, and the U.S. territories\n52 Scholarships\, countless futures.\n$3\,000 each\, with $10\,000 for the top scholar!\nJ.W. Pepper is turning 150\, and we can think of no better way to celebrate than by empowering students across the U.S. to teach music. Our landmark scholarship program awards 52 scholarships for students entering their first year of college as a music education major. $3\,000 scholarships will be awarded to one student recipient from each state\, plus a student from Washington\, D.C.\, and another for a student from the U.S. territories. The top scholar of all 52 recipients will be awarded a $10\,000 scholarship! The scholarship recipients must be entering their first year as a full-time student majoring in music education in the Fall 2025 semester. \nWe aim to help aspiring students pursue their dream of becoming music educators. We invite music students from every corner of the U.S. to participate in this extraordinary opportunity. \nScholarships will be paid to the recipient’s college for the fall semester 2025.
