Who We Are

Founded in 1970, members of NCMEA have been the voice of music education in North Carolina for over half a century. The mission of our organization is to advance music education by promoting the understanding and making of music by all. NCMEA not only hosts professional development and student activities, but our organization also provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators and we advocate for music education at the local, state and national levels. We invite you to explore this website to discover the valuable offerings and resources available through our organization. We hope that you will support us as we lead North Carolina in music education, empowering generations to create, perform, and respond to music.

If you have questions and/or need assistance please contact our Executive Director, Pat Hall.

Thank you,

Carol Earnhardt
