Apply for the Dr. Brian Busch Memorial Grant

Public school Middle School Choral Directors are invited to apply for a grant to update their choral resources. This grant supports programs that are endeavoring to build quality choral libraries on little or no budget in order to provide quality choral instruction to their students. School choral programs may only receive this grant once within a five-year period. Disbursements are scheduled to occur once a year in November. Two grants of $375.00 each will be awarded annually.
Brian was a strong advocate of middle school choral music and consistently sought out choral pieces to publish that demonstrated his high standard of choral excellence. He was also a strong advocate for middle school choral directors, consistently offering his help, his expertise, and his publications for our use. It is a great honor and privilege to be able to offer this grant in his name. A very special thanks goes to the Winston-Salem branch of JS Pepper Music Company for endorsing and financially supporting these efforts. Additional thanks goes to Ms. Lee Busch, Brian’s widow, for her moral and financial support of the grant.Provided in memory of Dr. Brian Busch, publisher and founder of BriLee Music Publishing Company, these grants are an effort to encourage the purchase of quality choral music.
Directors applying for the funds must submit an application to the chairperson of the Brian Busch Memorial Grant Committee by September 15th. The application must be completed accurately and include all appropriate signatures in order to be considered. Choral programs awarded the grant will receive a one-time gift card from the Winston- Salem branch of JW Pepper Music Company in the amount of $375.00
