Arts Coordinators

”Arts Coordinators” is defined as a broad term, which includes central office supervisors, directors, coordinators, lead teachers, and others involved with coordinating Arts Education programs at the K-12, district level. Higher Education members are also welcome to participate.

In addition to the annual North Carolina Music Educators Association conference meeting in November, Arts Coordinators from around the state meet twice a year to discuss current trends in Arts education, best practices, and issues pertaining to the Arts. Arts Education Consultants for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction also attend our meetings and provide regular updates, which may include new curricular documents, state-wide initiatives, pending legislation, etc.
