Hurricane Matthew Grant

In response to a request by several NCMEA members to help their colleagues affected by the flooding after Hurricane Matthew, NCMEA created fund raising campaign to help replace music, musical instruments and supplies that have been damaged or lost in classrooms damaged by flooding.

As a result this effort NCMEA has raised a total of $2,350 to grant back to music programs. Grant applications will be reviewed by the NCMEA Mini Grant Committee and recommendations will be sent to the NCMEA Board for approval at the April Board Meeting. The deadline for online applications is midnight March 31.

Music programs eligible to apply for this grant must be located in the following counties designated as disaster areas: 

Anson County, Beaufort County, Bertie County, Bladen County, Brunswick County, Camden County, Carteret County, Chatham County, Chowan County, Columbus County, Craven County, Cumberland County, Currituck County, Dare County, Duplin County, Edgecombe County, Franklin County, Gates County, Greene County, Halifax County, Harnett County, Hertford County, Hoke County, Hyde County, Johnston County, Jones County, Lee County, Lenoir County, Martin County, Montgomery County, Moore County, Nash County, New Hanover County, Northampton County, Onslow County, Pamlico County, Pasquotank County, Pender County, Perquimans County, Pitt County, Richmond County, Robeson County, Sampson County, Scotland County, Tyrrell County, Wake County, Washington County, Wayne County and Wilson County
