The North Carolina Symphony announces the Annual Fall Teacher Workshop!

Tuesday, August 12
9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Meymandi Concert Hall, Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, Raleigh, NC

Please join the North Carolina Symphony for an afternoon of education and music. Student and teacher materials for the 2008 Education Program will be presented at this workshop!

· Authors of the 2008-09 Student and Teacher Handbooks will discuss the "What Makes Music MUSIC Around the World" theme of the 2008-2009 Education Concert.
· In-depth discussion of program material, music and lesson plans with break-out groups.
· Kathryn Wyatt, Director of Education and Community Engagement will present current and upcoming education and community engagement programs of the North Carolina Symphony, as well as the new website resources and education concert booking tools!
· Presentation of the 2008 Education Program materials, including the North Carolina Symphony education program recording!

*Each NC Symphony Teacher Workshop will provide participants with a Certificate of Participation for 5 hours which can be used for .5 CEU credit with prior approval from the school system.*

How to register:

Please download the attached registration form and complete. Cost of registration is $30.00 (includes lunch and beverages). Cash and checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to “North Carolina Symphony” and mail with registration form to:

You may also fax your registration form to (919) 781-6066 and pay in person on the day of the workshop. (Please bring exact change if you are paying with cash.) Deadline for registration is Friday, August 1, 2008.
